Bible Text: “Numbers 13:1- 33and Numbers 14: 1- 38
Memory Verse: “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV)
Your Perspective shapes your experiences and expectations. If your perspective is clouded by fear of the present and uncertainty about the future, you may find yourself facing challenges—not just from the enemy, but also from God, who desires to build your faith. However, if you choose to see through the lens of faith, trusting in God’s promises, you will be empowered to overcome every challenge that comes your way.
Your perception of life can either qualify or disqualify you from the glorious future God has planned. If you view life through the lens of doubt, fear, and negativity, you will struggle to see God’s hand at work. But when you see through the eyes of faith, you align yourself with His promises and receive strength to walk in victory.
But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it.
— Numbers 14:24
Joshua and Caleb stood apart because they viewed the Promised Land through faith, not fear. While the other spies saw giants and obstacles, they saw opportunities and God’s faithfulness. Joshua and Caleb’s faith perspective earned them and theor families access to the promised land while the fearful spies were denied entry into the promised land.
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
— Joshua 1:8
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
— James 1:22
To develop a faith-filled perspective, you must become both a KNOWER and a DOER of God’s Word. The study of Scripture is often overlooked as a tool for preparing for life’s challenges, yet it is the most powerful preparation for a victorious future. God’s Word equips you with promises to anchor your faith and take on each day with confidence. Our perception determines your response to life’s challenges—will you respond in fear or in faith?
So, ask yourself: What promise of God is coloring your day today?
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of faith and the promises in Your Word. Help me to see life through Your eyes, trusting that You have a glorious future prepared for me. Strengthen my heart to overcome fear and walk in the victory You have already won for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
